How To Feminize Your Short Hair

 Feminize Your Short Hair

So girls here are some tips for feminizing your short hair in best feminine ways so you can look beautiful with short hair.

I generally prefer longer hair on crossdresser, but it’s important to chose a style that works for YOU. Some crossdresser actually look prettier and more feminine with short hair. So have an open mind as you experiment with different styles!

So you want gorgeous tresses of your own, but need to keep a masculine appearance for work or social reasons? Wigs just not cutting it for you? Don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to feminize your hair.

Ok, first step though . . . you do have to grow out your hair a little. You don’t need a ponytail, and you don’t have to tell your barber that you want a “girl cut” – a medium length guy’s cut will work just fine. If you don’t believe me about the medium length mens haircut, this is me as a guy. I’m in the process of growing my hair out a bit longer and trying to figure out what to do with it, but the current length and style of my hair is pretty close to this photo. Sure doesn’t look very femme, does it? You’re probably thinking I have to wear a wig all the time, but not true! I have plenty of options with my hair like this.

1. Get a cute haircut

The First thing for getting a cute face with short hair is that to choose the right right cut.The first thing you need is a great haircut that can be styled in different ways. Choppy layered styles are very “in” right now and look great in both male and female mode.

Ask your hairstylist to show you different options for styling your hair. Layers that are swept towards the face are very feminine and flattering. Curls are another great, girly option.

2. Try hair accessories & Hair Extension

Alright, if short hair just doesn’t do it for your femme side, but you want a secure natural look . . . extensions can be a great option. This photo is my natural hair with a single comb-clip extension – the cheap and easy way to get long hair :)  The most important part is that you have to match the hair type and color of the extension to your natural color. Dark browns like mine are of course pretty easy to match, but finding an extension with enough curl was really difficult. Well, until I found this one.

3. Wear a hat

Hats aren’t very popular with women these days, but thanks to Kate Middleton they’re on their way back. The soon-to-be Princess has been photographed in some incredible hats and is sparking a hat trend around the world.

Hats are the easiest way to feminize your hairstyle. In fact, you don’t even have to do your hair! Just throw on a pretty hat and you’re good to go.

Be sure to consider the season when selecting a hat. I know this sounds obvious, but I’ve seen girls wear knit hats in the summer and straw hats in the winter and it just looks ridiculous. Felt hats can be worn year round except for the hottest months.
